Six pallet configurations, all loading from the side with a forklift instead of only from the back. The reason freight customers keep coming back to this part of the fleet.

Licence matters here more than anywhere else in the fleet. The 4 pallet runs on a car licence; 6 through 12 pallet need Medium Rigid (MR); the 14 pallet needs Heavy Rigid (HR). We verify at pickup. If you're unsure, read the licence guide before booking.

Why a curtain-sider

Three things a pantech can't do.

Load from the side

Curtains slide back along the whole deck, so a forklift can place pallets anywhere in one pass instead of working front-to-back through a rear door.

Drop anywhere on the run

Multi-drop work stops being a Tetris problem. You reach the third pallet without unloading the first two.

Still fully enclosed

Curtains and a roof mean the load stays dry and out of sight — you get side access without going to an open tray.

Freight & distribution accounts

Most tautliner hire is repeat work, so most of it is on an account rather than a walk-up rate. We hold vehicles for your run days, invoice monthly against your ABN, and quote the 4, 6, 8 and 10 pallet classes to your actual volumes. Call and tell us what you're running.

Common questions

Yes. The rates on this page are walk-up daily rates inc. GST. The 4, 6, 8 and 10 pallet classes are often hired as ongoing freight work rather than single days — if that is you, ring 0402 157 360 and we will quote against your run and volumes, which lands well under the daily rate.
The 14 pallet carries a powered tailgate lifter, as does the 5.5 m 8-pallet pantech. If you're delivering to sites without a forklift, that's the feature that decides it.
Internal restraint points and gates are fitted. Load restraint remains the driver's legal responsibility under the Heavy Vehicle National Law — tell us what you're carrying when you book and we'll confirm what the vehicle comes with.
Yes. The 12 and 14 pallet classes have published daily rates and can be booked for a single day like any other vehicle, subject to your licence class.
